Criteria to become a Family Day Care Educator

Minimum of Certificate 3 in Children’s Services

First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certificate (3 year qualification)

CPR Certificate (1 year qualification)

Valid ‘employee’ Working With Children Check

Valid ‘volunteer’ Working With Children Check for all adult household members 18yrs and over

Medical certificate stating fitness to work with children

Landlord permission to use rental premises (if applicable)

Public Liability Insurance

A suitable safe home environment and the desire to operate a successful small business

National Criminal History Check – Not more than 6 months old

PRODA Registration Authority (RA) number
